Yes, one pregnancy ultrasound scan at 6 or 7 weeks is conducted at your clinic, and this is available at all clinics. These is provided by Ultrasound Direct, and take place at one of their locations. This early dating scans can be booked via your Access Fertility patient portal. For more information about scans, including which scans are included at each clinic, please contact our Patient Advisor team.

The main exclusions not covered in our programme are your initial consultation, any investigatory tests the clinic requires prior to treatment and your drugs.

Medication (progesterone and oestrogen) is covered up to the first clinical pregnancy scan for both donor and recipient on our Donor Refund Programmes at Fertility Fusion, London Women’s Clinics (except for Wales) and Manchester Fertility. Medication on our donor programmes at CRGH and Fertility & Gynaecology Academy would be paid directly to the clinic.

If all embryos are frozen, following egg collection and fertilisation, and no fresh embryo transfer takes place this is known as a freeze-all.

Access Fertility’s treatment programmes cover an egg collection followed by a fresh embryo transfer with all remaining embryos being frozen for one year. If patients choose or are required to have an embryo freeze-all they may be required to pay a top up fee to upgrade for our Freeze-All Programme.

If you have a freeze-all on our two cycle programmes (2-Cycle 50% Refund Programme or Multi-Cycle Programme) this would require a higher fee of £800. On all of our other programmes, the fee would be £1,200.

Access Fertility does not make any recommendations regarding treatment. The choice/need to have a freeze-all is something that the patient would discuss with the consultant at your chosen clinic.

If planning on using PGT-A (Pre-implantation Genetic Testing for Aneuploidy) you will be required to have a Freeze-All as all embryos will be frozen prior to the embryos being sent off for testing. This means that you would be required to pay the higher fee.

The cost of PGT-A is not covered in the programme fee and the cost of this would be paid directly to your clinic.

No, our programmes are only available for IVF, ICSI and donor egg treatment.

No, only embryos created on our programme would be covered by our programmes.

Shared motherhood is compatible with our Multi-Cycle Programmes and IVF Refund Programmes at some of our partner clinics. Please contact us for more information.

Shared motherhood is not compatible with Donor Egg Refund Programmes and 2 Year Unlimited Programmes.

Please bear in mind that additional fees may apply.

No, our programmes are only available to patients undergoing Conventional IVF treatment protocols, and are not compatible to anyone who is undergoing Mild or Natural IVF treatment. The differences between these approaches can be defined as:

Conventional IVF
A cycle of IVF in which the patient undergoes controlled ovarian stimulation with a typical daily gonadotropin dosage of between 150 International Units (IU) and 300 IU per day (or such dosage as is clinically appropriate within that range, as determined by the Clinic).

Mild IVF
Any IVF cycle in which the patient undergoes controlled ovarian stimulation with a typical daily gonadotropin dosage of under 150 IU per day

Natural IVF
Any IVF cycle undertaken without gonadotropin stimulation or with minimal stimulation insufficient to meet the threshold of Mild IVF

Our Unlimited and IVF Refund Programmes take a maximum of two weeks to apply for due to the need to complete a medical review.

Our Multi-Cycle Programme does not require a medical review and it is possible for applications to be completed within the same day.

Access Fertility is not a clinic so we do not have a waiting list. You would need to speak to your chosen clinic directly to confirm their wait times (if any).

We do not have success rates for our programmes but you can find the individual success rates of our partner clinics on the HFEA website. They are the governing body for IVF in the UK and compile data on all the clinics.

You are able to have your initial consultation, tests and scans at satellite clinics but the bulk of your treatment (egg collection and transfers) will take place at the main clinic.

Once you have signed your Agreement Form and made payment. The clinic will then be notified and you can decide with them when to begin treatment.

All cycles must take place at the clinic listed in your agreement form once enrolled.

If you wish to change clinics you would have to withdraw from your programme and start the application process again at your new clinic.

You can withdraw at any time from the programme and may receive a partial refund.

Yes, but everything is done electronically via your online patient portal so nothing is posted out to your address to print and sign.

Our Refund Programmes operate on the basis that if, after using all the cycles in your plan, you unfortunately don’t have a baby, then you get a refund. We want to make that as simple as possible for patients. Once your clinic has notified us that unfortunately your treatment hasn’t been successful, please get in touch and we’ll issue your refund within 30 days of receiving a signed refund form. At Access Fertility, ‘success’ counts as a live birth – if you have a miscarriage, a stillbirth or a medically recommended termination, you would be eligible for a refund.

Please note that you must complete all available cycles in your programme and use all frozen embryos before a refund is considered.

You can withdraw from our programmes at any point but you would not be eligible for your full refund.

Unfortunately our programmes are not available to people who are looking to become parents through surrogacy. For more information about the options that are available, please contact our patient advisor team.

Medical Review

To apply for any programme which has a refund element we perform a medical review to see which of our treatment programmes our medical team are able to offer.

This is applicable to patients applying for our 50%, 70%, 100% Refund Programmes, our Unlimited Programme and our Donor Egg Refund Programmes.

Our medical team look at every patient on a case by case basis and we have no set criteria (apart from age). We look at the following: test results (AMH, AFC, semen analysis), previous treatment history, previous uterine history and any other relevant medical information.

If a patient has had 3 or more unsuccessful fresh cycles previously it is unlikely they’d be accepted onto a Refund Programme.

If you are not accepted onto a Refund Programme you will still be able to use our Multi-Cycle Programme which does not have a refund element but is still a discounted option for two cycles with no medical review.

You will need to sign consent forms to give us permission to view your test results. We will then collect the medical data from the clinic, conduct assessments, and then call you to inform you of the outcome.

Both patient and partner need to sign an online form. You will both be sent a link to our online portal. You will each need to create individual login details and sign either the Patient Consent Form or Partner Consent Form.

If going through treatment solo, only the patient needs to sign their consent form.

The medical review takes up to two weeks to complete, after we have received both of your signed consent forms.

No, our medical team look at everyone on a patient-by-patient basis using your test results, previous treatment history and any further information available to them.

If you have had three or more unsuccessful cycles, the likelihood of being accepted on to one of the IVF Refund programmes is significantly lower.

We do not have any criteria for BMI and we would proceed in line with what is medically recommended by your clinic. If they are happy to treat you, please make an application.

Once our medical team have concluded your review, you will be contacted by one of our patient advisors. They will let you know which programmes the medical team have made you eligible for (if any) and you can choose which programme to proceed with there and then or call us back after taking some time to consider. We will then send you the Agreement Form for the specific Programme you choose to proceed with.

Payment

Yes we offer options for you to spread the cost of your fertility programme with us into monthly payments.
Every patient who is going to enrol onto one of our programmes can apply for up to a £12,000 loan to pay for all or part of their programmes fees. This can be paid back in monthly instalments over 12 months, with no interest added.

Our prices are subject to change. You will be informed before they change if already registered with us and you will need to make payment prior to the price change in order to proceed with your initial quote. This will not affect patients already enrolled onto our programmes.

We do not offer discounts and don’t have any promotions or sales, so you can be reassured that you are always getting the best price available, no matter when you want to start treatment.

Once you’re ready to go ahead with your payment, you simply select your bank’s name from the on-screen list and securely verify your payment using fingerprint or face ID (if you’re using a desktop you will need to enter your bank details manually). This takes just moments and the money is transferred instantly.

There are no additional fees associated with using Truelayer, it’s a free and instant online bank transfer.

Treatment

Further information can be found here.

Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection or ICSI is generally used when there is a male fertility issue. A single healthy sperm is injected directly into the egg.

Further information can be found on the HFEA’s website.

We class a cycle to start from your egg collection, followed by the transfer of all embryos you get from it (both fresh and frozen). A new cycle would start once the patient starts a new egg collection.

Yes, all frozen embryos must be transferred prior to moving on to the next cycle.

On our programmes we only classify a live birth as success.

If you are successful on your first cycle or at any point during your treatment allowance this means your programme is complete. You would not get any refund and you cannot use any further treatment.

In the majority of cases, we classify this as a cancelled cycle and Access Fertility would pay a cancellation fee on the first occurrence to the clinic. This would not count towards your cycles of treatment.
If you have a second cancelled cycle or any subsequent cancelled cycles then you would need to pay this fee to us before treatment can be continued.
However this can vary depending on which clinic you are being treated at, so please contact our Patient Advisor team to discuss your treatment and the impact of cancelled cycles.

Firstly, please give us a call to let us know. Most patients wait to do so until after their clinical pregnancy scan.
You can then withdraw and may be entitled to a partial refund (depending on what treatment you have had) or remain on the programme and use your treatment at a later date.

Yes, you are able to use PGS/PGT-A alongside our programmes but the cost of this is not included in our fees. You would need to pay the clinic directly if you wish to use PGS/PGT-A.

The one condition we have is that no batching of embryos takes place. What this means is that any viable embryos from your first cycle would be tested and transferred prior to you moving on to your next egg collection.

Unfortunately PGD, PGT-M and PGT-SR cannot be used alongside our programmes. If PGD, PGT-M or PGT-SR has been recommended with your treatment, then you would need to have your treatment directly through your chosen clinic.

The HFEA, the governing body for IVF in the UK, generally recommends single embryo transfers to avoid the risks involved with twinning to both mother and child. After the age of 40, the clinic may recommend a double embryo transfer but this would not necessarily guarantee you having twins.
