Couples trying for a baby through IVF will be able to get a refund if they fail, under a new scheme.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Would-be parents are being offered a “money-back guarantee” on treatment at a clinic in Manchester. A similar scheme will be rolled out at a clinic in Brighton later this month.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Patients must be under 37 and using their own eggs to be eligible for the IVF Refund Programme to get 70 per cent of their fees back.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Depending on the plan they pick, refunds could be up \u00a39,000.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Similar deals – known as ‘shared risk’ IVF – are already popular in America, but Manchester Fertility in Cheadle, South Manchester, is the thought to be the first clinic in the UK to launch such a package.<\/p>\n
