Last week we launched some updates to our IVF Refund Programmes. We became the first and only company in the UK to offer all IVF patients under the age of 40 a refund if they don’t have a baby. At the same time, we also became the first company to offer patients a 100% refund if IVF isn’t successful.
The response so far has been fantastic with hundreds of patients expressing interest in our new programmes already. We’re really pleased that we’re able to help people save on the cost of IVF, fix the cost of treatment and receive a full refund if they don’t achieve their dream. I thought it might be helpful to remind you why we offer multiple treatment cycles, rather than a traditional one cycle at a time approach. Here’s a table showing you the latest Live Birth Rates (LBR) per cycle of IVF started:

Unfortunately, at least 2/3 of all patients can expect to have more than one cycle of IVF in order to have a baby. The latest evidence shows that you give yourself a significantly better chance of success over the course of 3 cycles. In fact, cumulative LBR over 3 fresh cycles of IVF range between 60-80%.
Around 60% of all patients will look to private IVF clinics to fill the gap left by the NHS. These private clinics do a good job of treating patients across the country but IVF is a high cost treatment.
The average cost of a single cycle of IVF in the UK is £5-7,000. As most patients will likely have multiple cycles it can be very difficult to keep going with such a high cost.
In fact, many patients will stop treatment early due to cost or will have spent more than £15,000 and not still not had success.
