Oriol is originally from Barcelona. After studying for four years in Girona and one in Italy, this intrepid traveller visited countries around the world before settling permanently in London. From here, Oriol joins our team of patient advisors, helping people to learn more about our programs and assist them with any questions they may have. Let’s meet Oriol and learn more about his passion for travel.
What do you do here at Access Fertility, Oriol?
I am a patient advisor, and my main aim is to help people who need IVF treatment. My role primarily involves explaining the different programs we offer, answering any questions about them, guiding patients to choose the program that best suits their needs and providing all the information necessary to start treatment.
What attracted you to work at Access Fertility?
I have always wanted to work on something that I was passionate about and where I could help others. Access Fertility is a company that tries to help people have a baby. Being able to offer that opportunity amazes me.
What do you enjoy most about your job at Access Fertility?

Tell us something interesting that you learned or discovered while working at Access Fertility.
The truth is that there are many interesting things that I have learned since I started my journey at Access Fertility. The company offers us great ongoing training to be as well informed as possible and learn everything we need to know about IVF treatments. Access Fertility invests a lot of time in training so that the team offers the best possible service and professionalism.
And outside of work, what interests you, or what hobbies do you have?
My three great passions are:
- Travel – I’m a backpacker – For a year and two months I decided the world with just my backpack. I visited more than 16 countries on different continents and collected so many anecdotes and precious experiences.
- Photography. I consider myself an amateur photographer, and I must admit that I am passionate about photography in all its forms. I love taking pictures of animals, textures and portraits. Although I am not a professional I am very happy with my photographs. Someday I would like to be able to exhibit them.
- Reading. From a very young age, books have been my escape from the real world. I don’t have a favourite literary genre, but there are books that have become a classic in my collection that I would never tire of recommending. Among my recommendations are “The Shadow of the Wind” by Carlos Ruiz Zafón, “Tokyo Blues” by Haruki Murakami and “Kites in the Sky” by Khaled Hosseini.
